PORTLAND - Against an opponent playing their fourth game in five nights on the road far from home, the Portland Chinooks were tested Tuesday night at Eastmoreland Courts before eventually putting away the winless LoneStar Strikers from Texas, 121-109 for their second straight victory (9-5).

After scoring the game's first two points at the foul line, Portland would fall down 9-2 before rallying within 22-19 at the midway point and taking a 37-35 lead after the first period. The visitors matched the more rested Chinooks basket for basket and it was 63-62 LoneStar at the half.

There wasn't much separation in the second half with at least ten ties. The Chinooks lead by just one (86-85) after three. Still a tight game with 1:00 left in regulation at 111-109, Portland closed the game on a 10-0 run to earn the win.

Jermaine Blackburn breakaway dunk off steal Germain Jordan (6'6" F Dillard) never ceases to amaze. He delivered a career-high effort of 44 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists for Portland. Jared Cunningham tied his season best 36 points thanks to a career-high eight three-pointers and pulled down 11 rebounds. Jermaine Blackburn had an another all- around game with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Antwan Williams turned in a 12 point effort with several attacking baskets.

The top seed gets either Salem or Seattle at 7:30, and the winners will meet on Sunday, June 29th at 5:00 for the championship.

Before then, the Chinooks have two more home games. The Seattle Fight come to Portland for the first- ever meeting on Sunday, June 22nd at 5:00.
