
Midfielder Taryn Torres Suffers Season-Ending Injury

HARRISON, NJ - NJ/NY Gotham FC today confirmed that midfielder Taryn Torres suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury during preseason training camp in Bradenton, Florida. Torres will undergo surgery.
"Taryn is a key contributor to this team both on and off the field," said Gotham FC Head Coach Juan Carlos Amorós. "While we will miss her on the field, we will fully support her recovery every step of the way, and look forward to her returning as strong as ever."
Torres earned nine starts in 13 games last season, achieving a passing distribution rating of 80.5 percent during her rookie campaign after being selected with the No. 21 pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft.
