Midfielder Andrea Hauksdottir Named to Icelandic Women's National Team

Houston Dash midfielder Andrea Hauksdottir will join Iceland for their first 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying match on Sept. 21, the federation announced earlier this week.
Iceland open Group C play at home on Sept. 21 against the Netherlands. Due to the structure of group play Iceland will have a bye on Sept. 17. Iceland will resume group play in October against the Czech Republic and Cyprus.Â
Hauksdottir signed with Houston on June 1 and made her Dash debut in a 1-1 draw with Gotham FC on Aug. 1
