
Midfielder Andrea Hauksdottir Named to Icelandic Women's National Team

Houston DashÃÂ midfielderÃÂ Andrea HauksdottirÃÂ will joinÃÂ IcelandÃÂ for their firstÃÂ 2023ÃÂ FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying matchÃÂ on Sept. 21, the federation announced earlier this week.
Iceland open Group C playÃÂ at homeÃÂ on Sept. 21 against the Netherlands. Due to the structure of group play Iceland will have a bye on Sept. 17. Iceland will resume group play in October against the Czech Republic and Cyprus.ÃÂ
Hauksdottir signed with Houston on June 1 and made her Dash debut in a 1-1 draw with Gotham FC on Aug. 1
