KANSAS CITY - Kansas City NWSL announced today that four players have been called up by their country to play over the September FIFA international window. Mariana Larroquette (Argentina) and Chloe Logarzo (Australia) will join their teammates for international friendlies while Rachel Corsie (Scotland) and Jéssica Silva (Portugal) will help their nations as they begin the qualifying process for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
RACHEL CORSIE
Scotland opens World Cup Qualifying in Budapest as they face Hungary on Friday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. CT, then will head home to host the Faroe Islands at 1:35 p.m. CT. on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
Corsie has 123 caps for Scotland, serving as the team's captain since September of 2017. She led Scotland to the country's first appearances in the European Championship in 2017 and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, where she played every minute. From her defensive position, she also scored 17 goals for her country.
The veteran defender also wears the captain's armband for Kansas City. She has tallied 1,144 minutes in 13 matches this season, all of them starts, and leads all Kansas City players with 46 defensive clearances.
JÉSSICA SILVA
Portugal will play Turkey on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. CT in Alanya, Turkey before heading to Rishon LeZion, Israel for its second World Cup Qualifying match on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. CT.
Silva already has 64 appearances for her country, including three of the team's four matches in 2021, with seven international goals scored. Prior to her first senior team appearance in 2011, Silva had 21 appearances for the U19 National Team.
After signing with Kansas City in May, Silva made her NWSL debut on June 6 against the Houston Dash. The tricky forward has made 11 appearances for KC (five starts) and collected a pair of assists.

Larroquette has represented her country at the 2008 and 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cups, then she joined the senior team for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. In 2021, Larroquette represented Argentina in the 2021 SheBelieves Cup and the Inaugural Basque Country International Women's Cup.
This season, Larroquette leads KC NWSL in total points, with two goals and an assist. Her score in the final minute of the team's match against NJ/NY Gotham helped Kansas City earn a draw and was featured on ESPN's Top Five plays on July 4.
CHLOE LOGARZO
The Australian National Team will head to Dublin on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. CT for an international friendly against Ireland.
Logarzo is a regular with the Matildas, having represented her country 48 times at the senior level, including the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Most recently, Logarzo helped her country to their best-ever finish at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The skilled midfielder had a major impact on the team's success, starting one game and featuring in three others off the bench.
In Kansas City, Logarzo has been a workhorse in the midfield throughout the season. She has played a total of 172 minutes with six appearances while holding a 67% pass rate.
