Michigan Mayhem News Release

Muskegon, MI (July 21, 2004) — The Michigan Mayhem proudly unveils their 2004-05 Schedule for their Inaugural History-Making 48-game CBA Season. The Mayhem immediately steals the limelight in the CBA Schedule by officially launching the CBA's 59th Season, hosting the Great Lakes Storm on November 19th at the L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon, Michigan.

The newest expansion team, Michigan Mayhem, expands the CBA to eight teams. The league will be divided into two conferences, the Eastern Conference (Michigan, Gary, Great Lakes and Rockford) and the Western Conference (Dakota, Idaho, Sioux Falls and Yakima). The CBA League Season will run for 16 weeks and conclude on Sunday March 13th, with the 2005 CBA Playoffs beginning on Tuesday March 15th.

The Mayhem Game Calendar features a full 48 game schedule, with 24 Home Games scheduled at the L.C. Walker Arena from November 19th through March 10th. Prominent home dates on the Mayhem Schedule include the historical first game ever, when the Mayhem hosts the Great Lakes Storm on Friday November 19th. The Mayhem begins their Holiday Home Game tradition by playing the Great Lakes Storm on Christmas Night on Saturday December 25th. A common CBA practice of team's honoring the local schools continues as the Mayhem welcomes "Field Trip Day" and plays an 11:00 a.m. Day Game with the Gary Steelheads on Monday February 14th. A huge Mayhem Fan attendance is expected on Thursday March 10th when the Michigan Mayhem concludes their regular season by playing the Rockford Lightning on Fan Appreciation Day.

"We are thrilled to carry the torch and lead the start of the 2004-05 CBA Season by playing Game 1 in Muskegon on November 19th" said a jubilant Mayhem General Manager Peter Jackson. "Additionally, we hope to entertain a full house of kids as our Valentines when we have an 11:00 a.m. Field Trip Day Game on February 14th. The Field Trip Day Game is a CBA tradition that will be immediately implemented into our annual Mayhem Home Schedule".

"The foundation blocks of a successful CBA Franchise are coming together rapidly" said Michigan Mayhem Owner Jannie Scott. "From the beginning, we've always emphasized that our fans will be treated to professional entertainment at an affordable family price. Family Fun continues to be our primary goal by providing Professional Basketball and National Talent Acts that will astound the home crowds at L.C. Walker Arena".

The Pandemonium Dance Team held their tryouts on Saturday July 17th at Muskegon Heights High School. "I was amazed at the level of talent that turned out in numbers for our first Dance Team Tryout" said Dance Team Choreographer Natasha Scott. "You better get ready West Michigan, the Pandemonium Dance Team will be energizing the crowds with performances at all of the Mayhem Home Games".
