Omaha Lancers News Release
OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League are proud to announce that UMASS Commit, Michael Hrabal has earned his first USHL Goaltender of the Week Award.
Hrabal got the call to start last Saturday's matchup (3/25) against the second place Waterloo Black Hawks and played a major role in the Lancers road win.
Although the Lancers were out-shot by a count of 35-25, they managed to pull off a 4-0 victory at Young Arena. Giving the Czech Goaltender his third shutout of the season, and his USHL career. Within that matchup, the first two periods brought even play with shots on goal being 18-16 in favor of the Black Hawks, as Omaha had a 1-0 lead. But even though the Lancers scored three goals in the final period of play, the Black Hawks put up a staggering 17 shots on goal, including being up a man for a third of the period.
Hrabal notched a 35-save shutout, handing him his highest save count in a shutout this season.
The 6-foot-6, 204 pound goaltender also made an appearance in Omaha's 6-3 loss to the Sioux Falls Stampede on Sunday (3/26) at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. Coming in for the third period of play and turning aside seven out of eight shots faced. Rewarding the netminder with the following weekend statistics:

0.75 Goals Against Average
0.977 Save Percentage
