Miami FC News Release
The Miami Football Club announced today a new partnership with Takes, the sports social app where fans unite.
Miami FC supporters will now be able to connect in real-time on Takes to make game predictions, dissect plays, celebrate or vent about calls together - all while a live Miami FC game unfolds. Unique among social platforms, Takes is just for sports, and has creator tools including video augmented reality (AR) filters designed for fans, live score updates for your content, and telestrator markup that make any fan a pro commentator.
As part of the partnership, Takes will provide a dedicated forum for Miami FC fans and live game coverage, as well as custom features such as Miami FC fan-filters and background images. Miami FC players, coaches and even mascot Golazo can get in on the fun and connect with fans.
"We know our fans engage online more than ever, and we want to be on the cutting edge in how we build our community and celebrate the team on digital platforms," said Miami FC CEO Michael Williamson. "We're excited to be an official partner of Takes and I can't wait to see the creativity and passion our followers bring to the platform."
Fans can download the Takes app for free in the iOS App Store at this link, and have access to Miami FC game chats as well as NFL, NBA, MLB and NCAA sports content and conversations.
Takes Founder and CEO Michael Iams said, "Miami FC is a world-class club with a thriving base, and already leans into new ways of engaging diverse fans of all ages. We'll bring the latest technology and craft new experiences for Miami FC fans, but we know it's their enthusiasm and fresh takes on the sport that will make the magic happen."
Miami FC's next home match will be the first featured on Takes and kicks off at 7pm May 20th live on TV33 (WBFS) and simulcast on CBSMiami.com. Tickets for the match at FIU Stadium are on sale now. To purchase, visit Miamifc.com or call 844-MIAMIFC.
