San Antonio FC Forward Samuel Adeniran Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC forward Samuel Adeniran has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, after scoring his first goal of the season in Sunday's 2-1 win at Las Vegas Lights FC.

Adeniran's goal was his 13th with the club, tied for the fifth-most career scores in club history. The fifth-minute goal gave SAFC the early lead, and extended the club's unbeaten streak to 50 matches when scoring first.

Adeniran's selection marks the 10th time this season an SAFC player has made the weekly list, with the Houston naïve serving as the eighth different San Antonio representative on the Team of the Week.

San Antonio is back on the road this weekend, traveling to South Carolina to take on Charleston Battery on Saturday, May 13. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, and can be streamed on ESPN+.
