
Mexico vs. Trinidad and Tobago Tickets on Sale Today

NEW YORK / SANDY, Utah (Wednesday, July 22, 2015) - CONCACAF Gold Cup Semifinalist Mexico, Soccer United Marketing (SUM), and Rio Tinto Stadium will release tickets TODAY at 5:00 p.m. MT to the general public for the Friday, September 4 international friendly between the Mexican National Team against Trinidad & Tobago. The Labor Day Weekend match will kick off at 8:00 p.m. MT) at Real Salt Lake's home in Sandy, Utah, as El Tricolor plays in Utah for the first time ever as part of its 2015 U.S. tour.
Tickets can be purchased online via www.RioTintoStadium.com beginning TODAY, Wednesday, July 22, at 5:00 p.m. MT or by visiting the venue's West Side Box Office beginning THURSDAY, July 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (normal business hours Monday - Friday, plus RSL or Monarchs gamedays). Tickets range from $45 to $140 across seven different seating locations within the Sandy venue for the Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 Mexico v. Trinidad & Tobago match.
Rio Tinto Stadium, a world-class soccer-specific venue, is home of Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake. The facility has hosted a number of top international soccer events since its inauguration in 2008, including MLS Cup Playoffs, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions League, United States Men's National Team FIFA World Cup Qualifiers for the 2010 and 2014 cycles, the 2009 MLS All-Star Game and the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage games.
With the game scheduled on a FIFA fixture date, both squads are expected to bring their top stars. El Tricolor's arsenal highlights word-class stars including Manchester United's Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández, PSV Eindhoven's Andrés Guardado and the LA Galaxy's newest signee, Giovanni dos Santos. Trinidad & Tobago's brings talents such as Chicago Fire's Joevin Jones, Columbus Crew SC's Kevan George and Cardiff City's Kenwyne Jones. The September matches will help prepare the nations ahead of the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this Fall.
Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago last played on July 20, 2013 during the CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals with El Tricolor taking the win 1-0. The two squads will also meet during this summer's Gold Cup in Charlotte, NC on July 15 for a group stage battle. The match at Rio Tinto Stadium will mark the 19th encounter between the nations, which thrilled the world with its recent CONCACAF Gold Cup match last week, a 4-4 draw. At this time, Mexico leads the series with 12 wins, four draws and three losses.
In its 2015 U.S. Tour prior to the commencement of the Gold Cup, Mexico has won two and tied two matches so far, earning victories over Ecuador (1-0) in front of a sold-out crowd in Los Angeles, against Paraguay (1-0) in Kansas City and a 2-2 tie against Costa Rica in Orlando, as well as a 0-0 draw against Honduras in Houston back on July 1. Following the Labor Day Weekend tilt in Utah against Trinidad, Mexico travels to Arlington, Texas on September 8 for a blockbuster matchup against Argentina.
