The New York Mets today announced that they have selected the contract of Buffalo Bisons' LHP MIKE O'CONNOR.
O'Connor, 30, was 2-1 with a 3.31ERA (16.1IP, 6ER) in 10 games with the Bisons this season. He left the Bisons with an 8.1-inning scoreless streak, dating to April 23 vs. Lehigh Valley.
The 6-3, 187-pound native of Dallas, TX last pitched in the majors in 2008 with Washington, where he went 1-1 with a 13.00ERA (9.0IP, 13ER). O'Connor owns a 4-9 career record and a lifetime ERA of 5.45 (114.0IP, 74ER) in 26 major league games, 21 starts.
