Nashville SC News Release

TAMPA - Nashville Soccer Club forward Ropapa Mensah was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week bench for his 1 goal and 1 assist on Saturday night in Nashville's 3-3 draw against Ottawa Fury FC at First Tennessee Park.

It's Mensah's second Team of the Week bench honor of the season following being named to the team in Week Six. Nashville SC has had 11 representatives on the Team of the Week this season, including each of the last three weeks.

Mensah was a force all night on Saturday, earning an assist on Daniel Ríos' opening goal before scoring on himself off a header to equalize the match at 2-2. He has four goals and four assists already in the 2019 season, just off his 2018 season total of six goals and six assists.

Nashville SC will return to action on Wednesday night at home for a top four matchup with New York Red Bulls II. Both teams sit on 29 points in the Eastern Conference table, and are the two highest scoring teams in the conference as New York has 31 goals to Nashville's 30.

Tickets to the match are still available for as low as $15, or $11 with a purchase of a Puckett's Flex Plan. Don't miss the final chance to see Nashville SC at First Tennessee Park until August.
