Mississippi RiverKings News Release
RiverKings Head Coach Mark Richards announced today (Thursday, November 4) that the team has picked up former Tulsa Oiler Defenseman Scott English off of the waiver list. English played three games this season with the Oilers. He missed two games earlier this season while serving a suspension.
In his three games, the fourth year pro did not score or pick up an assist while accumulating 27 minutes in the penalty box. Last year with the Fort Worth Brahmas, English had a goal and two assists in 63 games. The six foot 195-pound English is 22 years old and a native of Newmarket, Ontario.
Coach Richards indicated that English will be attending to family matters this weekend and should be able to join the team next week.
This is just another personnel move in what has been a busy week for the RiverKings. On Tuesday Keith Aucoin was recalled by Providence and the team acquired Wayne Hall in a trade with Odessa. Hall is expected to be in uniform for tonight's game with Austin at the DeSoto Civic Center.
