
Memphis Grizzlies Re-Sign Hassan Whiteside from NBA D-League's Iowa Energy

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Grizzlies have re-signed center Hassan Whiteside, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal are not disclosed.
Whiteside (7-0, 275) originally was signed on Sept. 25 and recorded 3.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.00 blocks on .500 shooting in 8.2 minutes in five preseason contests before he was waived on Oct. 22. He started the 2013-14 season playing in Lebanon before moving onto his second tour of duty in China. The 25-year-old holds NBA career averages of 1.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.79 blocks on .444 shooting in 5.8 minutes in 19 games (zero starts) over two seasons (2010-12) with the Sacramento Kings and owns NBA D-League career averages of 6.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.16 blocks on .545 shooting in 12.8 minutes in 61 games (11 starts) with the Reno Bighorns, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
