
Members Of The Sting To Meet With American Idol Contestant

GLENDALE, AZ --- The Arizona Sting announced today that the team will be presenting Valley native and American Idol contestant Jordin Sparks with a personalized jersey at a rally honoring the singer tomorrow afternoon in Glendale.
Festivities will begin at 3:30pm with live performances from past 'Arizona Idols'. A procession, which will begin at 4:00 pm, will bring Sparks into the Westgate City Center Fountain Park, located at the north end of the retail development. The event is free and open to the public
Ms. Sparks, 17, who is currently one of three remaining contestants vying for the title of this year's American Idol, is originally from Glendale and will be paying her hometown a visit as part of a special segment for the hit FOX television program. City of Glendale Officials have organized a sports-themed event honoring Sparks, and members of five local professional sports teams will participate, as will the Stingettes and Coyotes Pack dance teams.
The Sting will play the Rochester Knighthawks in the NLL Championship Game on Saturday, May 12, at 1:00pm at Jobing.com Arena.
