 Ottawa Fury FC News Release
OTTAWA - The USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 2 was announced on Tuesday, and Ottawa Fury FC defender Thomas Meilleur-Giguère narrowly missed out on the recognition, squeaking in the roster as a member of the supporting cast thanks in part to a spectacular goal-line clearance in the 83rd minute of the match against Birmingham this past Saturday, helping his club keep the clean sheet and secure a first win in 2019.
Fury FC's defence stood tall once more on Saturday, limiting Legion FC's opportunities in their half, and keeping them at bay. Thomas Meilleur-Giguère was solid amongst them with 11 clearances, three interceptions and three blocks, including the highlight-worthy save late in the game.
Fury FC returns to TD Place on Saturday, April 6 for its home opener. Fury FC Family can get in on the action right away by purchasing a season membership, or the new Fury+ subscription which gets them access to all regular season home matches for only $30 per month per seat!
