Meet the Visalia Oaks luncheon scheduled

VISALIA – The Visalia Oaks' annual Meet the Players Luncheon will be held at noon next Tuesday, April 6 at Cask N Cleaver Steakhouse, located at 3627 South Mooney Boulevard in Visalia.

All players on the opening day roster, Manager Stu Cole, Hitting Coach Glenallen Hill and Pitching Coach Jim Bennett will be on hand at the event.

Season tickets holders are entitled to two seats per account and can request additional tickets if needed. Extra tickets will be awarded on the basis of availability.

For general public, admission to the event can be purchased for $20.00.

Fans can purchase tickets and season ticket holders can RSVP by calling the Oaks' office at 625-0480, or by stopping in during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Practice Makes Perfect: The Oaks will hold three workouts at Recreation Park following the team's arrival on Sunday. Practices will be open to the public:
Monday: 10 a.m.
Tuesday: 6 p.m.
Wednesday: 4 p.m.
The team has been training at the Colorado Rockies Minor League complex in Tucson, Arizona.

Bank of the Sierra Opening Night, which kicks off WB 59 Opening Weekend and the regular season is Thursday, April 8 at 6:35 p.m. when the Oaks host the San Jose Giants. There will be a fireworks display after the game.

The Media will have access to the team on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Cask N Cleaver, just prior to the Luncheon.

Eggs for Cash: An Easter Egg Hunt has been added to Domino's Pizza Magnet Schedule Day on Sunday, April 11 when the Oaks wrap up the season's opening series against San Jose. Several eggs for the post-game hunt will be stocked with cash and other prizes. During the game, one fan will win $100 in an egg-related promotion.

A Second Chance to hear from the Oaks coaching staff will be available to members of the Downtown Visalia Rotary Club. Cole, Hill and Bennett will be the guest speakers at the club's meeting at noon on Wednesday.
