
Meet the Sliders at Ginger Hill Tavern

Slippery Rock, PA -Fans will be able to have dinner with the players battling for spots on the inaugural roster of the Slippery Rock Sliders at Ginger Hill Tavern in downtown Slippery Rock from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 16.
As part of the festivities, Sliders' field manager Greg Jelks and general manager Steve Tahsler will introduce the team and preview the 2007 season. Team mascot The Slider will be present and available for autographs and pictures along with the Sliders' training camp roster. 30 players are currently in training camp battling for the 24 spots on the opening day roster.
In addition, Opening Day tickets will be on sale along with merchandise commemorating the return of professional baseball to Butler County for the first time in over 55 years.
Located in downtown Slippery Rock, PA, The Ginger Hill Tavern offers a family friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy a variety of hearty entrees, dinner features, and drink specials. Wednesday's are Wing Nights at Ginger Hill Tavern, featuring 25-cent wings in conjunction with the Sliders' appearance.
The Slippery Rock Sliders, presented by Dollar Bank, will begin their inaugural season on Wednesday, May 23, at the Washington Wild Things. The home opener will be on Tuesday, May 29, against the Florence Freedom. 32 home games will be at Jack Critchfield Park on the campus of Slippery Rock University.
