FRASER, MI- The Motor City Mechanics are proud to announce the signing and return of All-Star Defenseman, Kevin Hansen.

Hansen, 27, a Hamburg, New York native, rejoins the Mechanics after finishing up his fourth professional season in 2004-05. Hansen finished the season playing in 59 games netting 16 points (pts), including 11 assists (a) and a career high 125 penalty minutes (PIM).

Hansen hopes that the team can carry over its success from last season into this season. "We finished strong and we have a great coach behind the bench," said Hansen. "I hope we can continue the streak next season."

One of the highlights of Hansen's season was being selected to the 2005 Pepsi, Mountain Dew All-Star game which was held in Glens Falls, New York, home of the Adirondack Frostbite.

The Mechanics open the 2005-06 season October 21st when they visit the Missouri River Otters and return home on October 28th to face-off against the Kalamazoo Wings to open the home schedule.
