Come talk about 2005 High Desert Mavericks and their new affiliation with the Kansas City Royals next Tuesday at Outback Steakhouse. The Kansas City Royals senior director of player development, Shaun McGinn and the High Desert Mavericks front office staff will be at Outback Steakhouse in Victorville from 5pm to 6pm on Tuesday, February 15, to answer questions and chat about the Mavs and the upcoming season.
The 2005 season will mark the beginning of the Mavericks affiliation with the Kansas City Royals. The Royals bring to the High Desert the best winning percentage over the past 12 years at the advanced A level in all of full-season baseball. While in Wilmington, the Royals advanced A team made the playoffs 10 times in 12 years and won the Carolina League Championship four times.
The 2005 Mavericks are managed by Billy Gardner Jr, hitting coach is Boots Day, pitching coach is Andy Hawkins, and the trainer is Steve Guadalupe. Opening day is just around the corner on April 7th at 7:05 p.m. at Friendly Mavericks Stadium versus the Lancaster JetHawks, with a spectacular fireworks show following the game.
