BURLINGTON, VT --- Drew McMillan was 3-for-4 with two runs, one double and two RBI to lead the Vermont Expos to a 7-3 victory over the Hudson Valley Renegades in New York-Penn League action Monday night at Centennial Field.

The Expos built a 5-0 lead in the game with a run in the first, two in the second and two more in the third inning. McMillan singled to start the second and scored later in the inning on a wild pitch to give Vermont a 21-0 lead. Then in the third, McMillan laced a two-out, two-run double to leftcenter to score Dee Brown and Leonard Davis for the 5-0 lead.

Expos starter Aaron Jackson did not allow a hit over the first three innings before the Renegades scored three runs, two unearned, in the fourth inning to cut the Vermont lead to 5-3. Matt Spring had an RBI groundout and Neil Walton an RBI infield single in the inning.

Vermont retook the four-run lead in the sixth inning when they scored two unearned runs on a pair of errors by the Renegades for a 7-3 lead.

Jackson (3-5) allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits over six innings for his third win of the season. Jackson has now allowed just two earned runs in 11 innings over his last two starts, both wins, after allowing 30 earned runs in his first 30 innings.
