February 25, 2012 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings News Release

Kalamazoo, MI- Ken MacLeanhad a dominating 34 save performance, as he lead the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings to a 2-0 victory over the visiting St. Louis Bandits on Saturday afternoon.

In a first period that was dominated by the visiting Bandits, Kalamazoo still found a way to hold them off the score sheet. St. Louis peppered Kalamazoo goaltender, Ken MacLean with 18 first period shots, in which he saved all of them. Offensively, the Jr. K-Wings struggled, only producing three shots of their own.

Seven and a half minutes into the second period, Kalamazoo struck for the first time on the afternoon. Jacob McDowell scored his 12th of the season on a wrap-around from the left side to give the Jr. K-Wings a 1-0 lead to take into the locker room. The goal would be the eventual game winner.

Just over two minutes into the third period, Kalamazoo got some insurance from Dan Cesarz's fourth of the season. His rebound tally on the power play gave Kalamazoo a two goal lead which would hold until the final horn.

The Jr. K-Wings will return to the Borgess Health Rink at Wings West again on Sunday, February 26th against the St. Louis Bandits.
