McDonald\'s nominees to be recognized at Stampede game

BOISE, ID- February 24, 2004- The Idaho Stampede, the Treasure Valley's professional basketball team, along with official sponsor McDonald's announced today it will honor area nominees for the 2004 McDonald's All-American Game. The event will take place at half time during the team's game on Thursday, February 26 at the Idaho Center.

Participating in the ceremony will be Stampede guard Randy Livingston, an NBA and CBA veteran player, who was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game in 1993.

"The Stampede is pleased to recognize the individuals who were selected for this honor by the McDonald's All-American committee," said Stampede General Manager John Brunelle. "These players, as well as their teammates and coaches, are to be commended for their hard work and dedication to the game. Along with our corporate partner, McDonald's, we're happy to provide a venue to celebrate this significant achievement."

Players nominated for the girls team from the state of Idaho include: Daunielle Williams (Bishop Kelly); Amanda Montieth (Boise High); Emily Williams (Centennial); Ashley Wolfe (Centennial); Emily Florence (Timberline); Vanessa West (Jerome); Adrea Thomas (Rimrock); Jenny Gross (Vallivue); and Katie Higham (Shelley).

Players nominated for the boys team from the state of Idaho include: Zach Beech (Skyview); Josh Ware (Centennial); Eric Bullen (Bonneville High); Matt Forge (Lewiston); Andrew Madsen (Lewiston); and Kelly Rawlings (Preston).

The Stampede hosts the Yakima Sun Kings on Thursday, February 26 and the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Friday, February 27 to conclude their regular-season home game schedule.
