JUPITER -- Mike McCardell was strong through seven innings, Steve Singleton had four runs batted in, and Chris Parmelee and Evan Bigley homered in Tuesday's 7-5 victory at Roger Dean Stadium.

McCardell (9-5) once again pulled into a tie for the league lead in wins. The right-hander gave up four runs, three earned, on seven hits in his seven innings. He walked none and struck out three before giving way to Spencer Steedley, who recorded his fifth save. Steedley pitched two innings, gave up one hit and an unearned run, and struck out three.

The Miracle grabbed an early lead in the first inning with Ben Revere and Steve Singleton's back-to-back triples. Deibinson Romero singled in Singleton to make it 2-0.

After Palm Beach claimed the lead with three runs in the second, Fort Myers took advantage of a Curt Smith error to get three unearned runs off Richard Castillo (3-8). With two outs, Nick Romero doubled and Jair Fernandez walked ahead of Revere's misplayed grounder by Smith. With the bases loaded Singleton ripped one inside the first base line and all the way down into the corner to bring in all three as the Miracle second baseman notched his second triple of the game. He now has eight on the year.

Singleton finished 2-for-5 with a run scored, two triples, and four RBI. Revere was 2-for-5 with two runs scored, Estarlin de los Santos went 2-for-5 with a double, and Nick Romero was 2-for-4 with a double and run scored to pace the Miracle offense. Evan Bigley lined his second homer in a Miracle uniform and fourth of the year to left in the fifth inning, and Chris Parmelee chipped in with eleventh to right in the ninth.

Castillo finished with six runs, three earned, on ten hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out five.

Fort Myers heads back to Hammond Stadium where Sarasota will help open a two-team homestand at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday.
