Pitching prospect Trevor May tossed four shutout innings as the Rochester Red Wings blanked the New Britain Rock Cats, the Minnesota Twins Double-A affiliate, 3-0, Sunday afternoon in a five-inning intersquad game at the Lee County Sports Complex in Fort Myers, Fla.

May, acquired in the offseason along with Vance Worley from Philadelphia in the Ben Revere trade, allowed just one hit and a pair of walks while striking out five in his four innings of work.

Last season, the 6-5, 215-pound right-hander led the Eastern League with 151 strikeouts as the top prospect in the Phillies organization.

Red Wings veteran Anthony Slama closed the door by tossing a scoreless fifth inning to preserve the 3-0 victory.

Antoan Richardson delivered the big hit with a two-run double. Catcher Danny Lehmann added the other RBI for the Red Wings with a base hit in his only at-bat on the afternoon.

Chris Colabello, after being reassigned to minor league camp earlier in the day, went 1-for-2 against his old team. After spending seven years in the independent CanAm league, Colabello hit 19 home runs and knocked in a New Britain record 98 runs a season ago.

The 29-year-old first baseman put together a nice spring hitting .294 with a pair of doubles in Major League camp before shining for Team Italy in the World Baseball Classic where he hit two home runs and collected seven RBI in five games.

The Red Wings spring schedule continues Monday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. when they host the Pawtucket Red Sox in Fort Myers, Fla.

TWINS NOTES :

The Twins announced Sunday that they have reassigned the following players to minor league camp: catcher Eric Fryer, infielders Chris Colabello and Mark Sobolewski, outfielders Brian Dinkelman and Clete Thomas and right-handed pitchers Deolis Guerra and Shairon Martis .

Dinkelman, Thomas, Guerra and Martis all appeared with Rochester in 2012. It is likely that Guerra will start the season on the disabled list after undergoing surgery to repair a blood clot in his throwing shoulder on Friday, March 15.

The Twins now have 42 players in camp: 22 pitchers (5 non-roster), 4 catchers (1 non-roster), 9 infielders (3 non-roster) and 7 outfielders (2 non-roster).
