Max Paddock Returned by San Jose Sharks

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that goaltender Max Paddock has been returned to the club by the NHL's San Jose Sharks.

Paddock was a free agent rookie camp invite by the Sharks and progressed to main camp with the team. Paddock appeared in San Jose's rookie tournament game against the Colorado Avalanche in Las Vegas.

A product of Brandon, Manitoba, Paddock is entering his 18-year-old season and first full year as the Pats starting goaltender. He took over the starting duties in the second half of last season and finished the year with a record of 19-7-1-1. Paddock recorded the third best goals against in the WHL last year at 2.90 and the 12th best save percentage at .904. He went on to put up a three and one record at the Memorial Cup and was named to the tournament all-star team.

With Paddock's return, just Cale Fleury remains at NHL camp with the Montreal Canadiens.

The Pats will kick off the 2018-19 regular season on Friday in Prince Albert at 7 p.m. on 620 CKRM2 via www.620ckrm.com. The club will host their home opener on Saturday at the Brandt Centre against the Raiders at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at reginapats.com and the 50/50 pot at the game will start at over $60,000.
