Roxy Bernstein is the New Voice of the Florida Marlins
The Florida Marlins announced Sunday that current Mavericks radio broadcaster Roxy Bernstein will be the latest addition to the Marlins broadcast booth. Bernstein was the Voice of the Mavs for the 2004 season and will be partnered up with Dave Van Horne on the radio for Florida.
Bernstein has also been the voice of Cal Bears Men's Basketball since 1996 and before coming to the Mavs, he had worked as a fill-in broadcaster for the San Francisco Giants, San Jose Sharks, and various national television and radio sports broadcasts.
Voice of the Springfield Cardinals... Mike Lindskog
Former Voice of the Mavs, Mike Lindskog, finds a new home on the radio for the Springfield (Mo.) Cardinals. Lindskog, who broadcasted Mavericks games from 2001-2003, will be the broadcaster for the inaugural season of the Texas League Springfield Cardinals.
The Springfield Cardinals are not only the AA affiliate of, but are also owned and operated by the St. Louis Cardinals.
Last season, Lindskog was a member of the broadcast team for the AA El Paso Diablos, owned by the Mavericks parent company Brett Sports. Previous to moving up to El Paso, Lindskog was the Voice of the Mavs for three and half years, and spent eight seasons working in marketing and radio for the Spokane Indians, another Brett Sports team.
The 2005 Mavericks Baseball season opens at home on April 7th at 7:05 with a spectacular fireworks show after the game, all courtesy of the Highway 395 Safety Coalition, Don't Pass on Safety.
