Mavericks Host Playoff Pre-Game Party

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks will host a playoff pre-game party Monday, March 22 prior to the Mavericks opening round game against the Mississippi RiverKings at Independence Events Center. The party will begin at 5 p.m. and last until 7 p.m. when the puck drops. The pre-game party will include live music, a beer garden, inflatables and face painters.

The playoff pre-game party will be outside the south entrance of the Independence Events Center. Kansas City's own, T Marv and Hammer Down (www.hammderdownonline.com), will provide live music from 5-7 p.m., and fans will also be able to visit the beer garden presented by Anheuser-Busch and County Beverage. The beer garden will have $5 draft specials until 7 p.m.

The Mavericks will also have an inflatable castle provided by Inflatabilities and face painters will be on site for the kids.

The three-game series against Mississippi will be played in a 1-2 format in which the first game will be played at Independence Events Center on Monday and games two and three (if necessary) will be played at DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi.
