The SETX Mavericks (9-1) came from behind to defeat the Bluegrass Stallions (7-6) in Lexington, KY on Wednesday night on an Anthony Lumpkin runner with 2.2 seconds to play.
The Mavericks found themselves down by 7 points with 4 minutes to play, but a 9-0 run down the stretch secured the win for the #2 ranked Mavs.
MAVS SCORERS: Jermaine Blackburn 17 points /8 assist, Josh Pace 16 points/5 rebounds, Anthony Lumpkin 15 points, DeRon Rutledge 13 points, Herman Favors 12 points/6 assist.
MAVS SUPERLATIVES: Jon Rogers scored 9 points, pulled down a game high 12 rebounds & blocked 3 shots. Johnny "Spiderman" Tyson pulled down 7 rebounds & blocked 3 shots. The Mavs "TWIN TOWERS" were active in Lexington, KY on Wednesday night.
Mavericks head coach Steve Tucker notched his 499th career win and will go after #500 on Thursday night in Nashville, TN.
