High Desert Mavericks News Release

ADELANTO, Calif. (SEPT. 25, 2012) - The High Desert Mavericks have announced their 140-game schedule for the 2013 California League regular season with 70 home games, including the home opener April 11 against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at Mavericks Stadium.

The Mavericks will play home series on 11 weekends, including all three summer holidays. High Desert will play at home on Memorial Day May 27, Independence Day Thursday, July 4, and Labor Day Sept. 2.

"Mavericks fans can expect a season of great entertainment and fun with the Fourth of July and summer holidays as part of an exciting promotional lineup already being planned for 2013," said Mavericks owner Dave Heller. "With the promotions and ballpark improvements coming to Mavericks Stadium, our fans will have a unique and memorable experience every night at the ballpark."

After finishing the 2012 season with the best overall record in the 10-team California League, High Desert will open the 2013 season April 4 at Lancaster. The JetHawks won the 2012 California League championship after eliminating the Mavericks with a three-games-to-one victory in the South Division Final.

Following a season-opening seven-game road trip to Lancaster and Inland Empire, the Mavericks open their home schedule Thursday, April 11, with the first game in a seven-day home stand at Mavericks Stadium, the team's home since 1991.

The Mavericks also have one scheduled home doubleheader on Sunday, July 21, against the Visalia Rawhide.

The Mavericks' schedule concludes with a four-game Labor Day Weekend series with the Lake Elsinore Storm Friday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 2, at Mavericks Stadium.

In 2013, the Mavericks will play their seventh consecutive season as the Seattle Mariners advanced Class-A affiliate. High Desert has made the playoffs three of the last four seasons, including a run to the California League Championship Series in 2009.
