Matt Rosen Accepts Position with Nashville Predators
May 15, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release
WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, are excited to announce that a member of the front office has graduated from the organization, climbing the ladder to the National Hockey League. Matt Rosen is joining the Nashville Predators as a New Fan Development Representative.
Rosen, 27, came to the Nailers in the summer of 2010, when he began his tenure with the club as an intern. That fall, he was promoted to a full-time position, which ultimately led him to become the team's Season Ticket Manager, in addition to the Director of Game Operations, as he spent five full seasons in Wheeling. Prior to making the move to the Ohio Valley, Matt, a graduate of Northwood University, got his start in sports with the Ontario Hockey League's Saginaw Spirit.
"Everyone in the organization is thankful for all of the tireless hours that Matt put in with the Nailers, and are extremely proud of him for making the leap from the Nailers to the National Hockey League," said Nailers Vice President Craig Bommer. "Whether it's on or off of the ice, our goal is to produce the very best product we can here in Wheeling, while helping our players and staff members achieve the highest possibilities in the sports industry."
Matt Rosen will join a fellow Wheeling alum in Nashville, as Predators Head Coach Peter Laviolette held that role with the Nailers during the 1997-98 season.
Wheeling Nailers 2015-16 season tickets are on sale now. For more information, call 304-234-GOAL or visit wheelingnailers.com.
