Matt Dahlseide Signs Tender Agreement with the Titans
The New Jersey Titans are excited to announce that Matt Dahlseide has signed a tender agreement with the team for the 2019-2020 season.
Dahlseide, a 20-year-old forward from Woodbury, Minn., is an NA3HL tender who spent the last two seasons with the North Iowa Bulls. In the 2017-18 campaign, he notched 48 points (18g, 30a) in 38 games. This past season, Dahlseide put up 60 points (17g, 43a) in 44 games.
The Minnesota native expressed his excitement in signing with the Titans.
"Signing a tender in the NAHL is an awesome achievement for any junior hockey player. However, to sign with such a great organization like New Jersey makes it even more satisfying," he said. "Joining this organization is exciting because I will be playing with elite players who will allow me to push myself harder than I have before. I've always viewed myself as a playmaker on the ice, so this chance to play with high end players everyday makes me excited to see how I can develop all aspects of my game. In addition to the players, I've had great communication with the coaching staff. They've been very welcoming to me and I'm so excited for main camp in July."
Titans director of scouting Matt Dibble spoke about Dahlseide's tender agreement and the kind of experience he brings to the team.
"The league has done a great job with the NA3HL and there are lots of players capable of making the jump, but what stood out with Matt was the way he handled himself when communicating with the Titans' staff," Dibble said. "This was clearly a kid who welcomed the challenge of playing in the NAHL, was confident that he could do it, and was humble to be given the opportunity."
In addition to having two strong seasons with the North Iowa Bulls, Dahlseide has experience in the NAHL, playing five games with the Brookings Blizzard in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. Dibble added that his skillset can add to an already talented Titans' forward corps.
"Matt brings what we already have a lot of up front with his energy and experience. He was a captain in high school and had two stints in the NAHL, and was a leading point scorer on his team in North Iowa," Dibble said. "Matt is a kid who plays at full effort all the time and makes the players around him better. The Titans are looking forward to Matt coming in and competing with our forward group. I am confident Matt will welcome the challenge with open arms."
The Titans would like to congratulate Matt and his family on his decision to be a part of the organization.
