The Wanderers hold an all-time record of 1-1-5 versus Cavalry FC which includes 5 matches in 2019 and 2 matches in 2020. Their last meeting was a 2-0 win by the Wanderers to secure their spot in the 2020 Canadian Premier League final.
Injuries:
HFX Wanderers continue The Kickoff with a primarily healthy squad. Alessandro Riggi is not cleared to play due to a recovering head injury. Peter Schaale will also miss tonight's match for an ankle injury. All other players except for Jems Geffrard, will be available for selection by Stephen Hart. Jems is still away on international duty with Haiti.
Captains:
Andre Rampersad retains the captain's armband for the 2021 campaign.
Coaches:
This is Stephen Hart's third season in charge of the Wanderers and recently signed an extension for three more years with the club. He is once again joined by assistant coach Mesut Mert.

The Wanderers have 14 returning players from the 2020 campaign. Last year's leading scorer, Akeem Garcia, is once again joined in attack by João Morelli and supported by a solid core including the likes of Andre Rampersad, Peter Schaale and Christian Oxner. The returning core welcomes the experience of Morey Doner, Jeremy Gagnon-Laparé and Eriks Santos to the team this season as well as the fresh faces of U SPORTS draftees Kareem Sow and Stefan Karajovanovic.
