Louisville, KY (October 8, 2015) -- With a trip to the 2015 USL Championship on the line, Louisville City FC travels north to take on the regular season champion Rochester Rhinos. It's the third time this season the two clubs have met, but neither of the previous two meetings have come close to carrying the weight this Eastern Conference Final will when it kicks off at 7:05 PM at Sahlen's Stadium.

A 2-0 thrilling win over the Charleston Battery in front of 8,517 fans at Slugger Field got Louisville City FC through to the Eastern Finals. After a scoreless 105 minutes, the match entered the second period of extra time where a Matt Fondy brace ignited the crowd on Saturday night. The first of his two goals came on a corner kick from Aodhan Quinn that Fondy blasted into the back of the net with his forehead. The second came moments later when the Battery's keeper was forced into a save leaving the net open for Fondy to slide in and get a touch on the ball to clinch the Louisville victory.

The league's top team, the Rochester Rhinos, got it done in regulation against the New York Red Bulls II. After having a player sent off early in the match New York played down a man for most of the match. They kept the game level at 0-0 until Steevan Dos Santos got one of his two goals in the second half. The best defense in the USL notched another clean sheet, with goalkeeper Brandon Miller having to make just one save in the 2-0 victory.

The first match between Rochester and Louisville ended in a 1-1 draw back on April 16 at Slugger Field. The Juan Guzman goal in that match was the only time Louisville would find the scoresheet versus the Rhinos this season. In the return trip, Rochester scored once in each half for the 2-0 win.

The winner of the match will host the 2015 USL Championship. If Louisville City is to win on Saturday tickets will be available at LouisvilleCityFC.com/playoffs.
