LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Rio Grande Valley FC (6-6-9) is set to face Las Vegas Lights FC (1-12-8) on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. CST. This will be the second meeting between the sides since the facing each other in week one, at H-E-B Park.
RGV FC are fresh off a stellar home performance after derailing El Paso Locomotive FC at H-E-B Park in an eventual one-sided Cope Tejas performance. After giving up a locker room penalty and conceding two goals before the 30-minute mark, the Toros regrouped and didn't look back as they cruised to a 5-2 victory, showing very promising glimpses of greatness on the pitch from all positions.
Colombian striker, Juan Galindrez showed his abilities on the pitch in a different way as he dropped into a support role offensively, dishing out two assists on the night and created three true goal opportunities in his first-ever start for the club since joining. Taylor Davila netted two very nice goals to solidify his case for team MVP heading into Week 22, as he now totals seven goals, three assists.
The Toros need to change nothing, and build on everything this weekend as an interesting Las Vegas Lights FC side will look to test them everywhere on a narrower pitch and bring them out of their current rhythm.
