Road Tripping: San Antonio kicks off a two-match road swing this weekend in Phoenix. SAFC enters having won two[1]straight matches on the road, outscoring El Paso and Memphis by a score of 6-1.

Player(s) of the Month: Jorge Hernandez and Tani Oluwaseyi were both named finalists for the USL Championship's July Player of the Month. Oluwaseyi finished with eight goals and two assists in the month, while Hernandez finished with two goals and a league-leading four assists. The Player of the Month winner will be announced on Aug. 10, with fan voting for the award concluding on Monday, Aug. 7.

Return of El Raton: 2022 USL Championship Final MVP and San Antonio's all-time leader in playoff goals, Santiago Patiño rejoined the club this week. The forward signed a multi-year deal with the club on Thursday.

"Excellent individual players. Player-for-player they're outstanding. Some dangerous attacking threats: Trejo, Ortega, Armenakas. These are gifted players for our league. So, we know we have to be our best from an individual duel standpoint. And then, it's a team that's ball dominated they attempt to move the opponent from side to side to then try to get you in behind so we've got to make sure we play our way, apply our principles. Hopefully, make them uncomfortable and then apply that intensity from start to finish."

"He brings a really cool presence, me and Mitch were just talking about it earlier. He brings a really professional championship oriented presence in the locker room with how he prepares for matches and for training and how he treats his body and how he treats other teammates. People see him as a goal-scorer and an absolute beast on the field and which he totally is, but they don't know the behind the scenes. How much he gives to the locker room, how much he gives to the team on a daily basis. He's one of those guys who checks in with you, who's very interested in what's going on in your life and wants to help you kind of through whatever you're going through which is just a testament of the players that San Antonio likes to bring in. To me, he's just going to add more fuel and more fire to the team."
