North Carolina FC News Release
CARY, NC (July 7, 2015) - The Carolina RailHawks (1W-1D-0L, 4pts.) will travel to Indianapolis to take on Indy Eleven (0W-1D-0L, 1 pt.) at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Saturday, July 11th at 7:30 pm ET.
The RailHawks have not been beaten in an NASL match since May 9th and are looking to continue their stellar play. The RailHawks currently sit in first place in the NASL fall season standings with four points, however they are the only team in the league to have played two matches thus far. Indy Eleven is sixth in the Fall Season standings.
The RailHawks have a quick turnaround after tying the Fort Lauderdale Strikers 1-1 at home on Wednesday night. The RailHawks held a 1-0 lead after a goal by Neal Hlavaty in the 53rd minute that was assisted by Simone Bracalello. However, Fort Lauderdale found the equalizer in the 77th minute after nearly a two-hour weather delay. Neither team was able to break the tie and the RailHawks earned a point at home.
Indy Eleven looked sharp in their Fall Season opener, earning a point against Spring Season Champions the New York Cosmos by a score of 1-1. Forward Wojceich Wojick scored the lone goal for Indy.
The RailHawks will return to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, July 18th at 7:30 pm when they host the reigning NASL champions the San Antonio Scorpions.
RailHawks Notes:
Who to Watch
RailHawks forward Simone Bracalello has looked fantastic in both games of the fall season. He opened the scoring for the RailHawks with a goal in a 3-1 victory against Minnesota United and then he garnered a beautiful assist in the 1-1 draw against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Wednesday night. The Italian striker received a cross and unselfishly laid the ball off to Neal Hlavaty who rifled the ball home.
Coach's Quote
"It's been a great start to the Fall Season," said RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke. "Indianapolis is a place that we have been successful in the past and we've got to go there and get three points."
