New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls (10-9-4, 34 pts) look to bounce back on Saturday as they host Toronto FC (9-9-5, 32 pts) at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. EST with coverage on MSG, MSG Go, TSN and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
Coverage for the New York-Toronto match on MSG begins at 5:30 p.m. ET with Honda Red Bulls Game Night. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 5 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
New York and Toronto will meet for the second time this season and 32nd time in league history as the Red Bulls own a 15-9-7 mark. Despite falling at Toronto two weeks ago, the Red Bulls are unbeaten against TFC in the last three meetings at Red Bull Arena with a 2-0-1 mark. New York has outscored Toronto, 6-1, in the last three regular-season meetings at RBA.
New York will look to bounce back from Saturday's 3-2 loss against Columbus. The Red Bulls own a 4-2-2 mark in league play following a loss with a plus-four goal differential (14 GF, 10 GA). New York has responded with multi-goal performances in four of the eight matches following a loss.
Daniel Royer continued his spotless record from the penalty spot as he converted his eighth consecutive penalty kick on Saturday against Columbus. Royer is just one of five players in MLS that have a perfect mark from the penalty spot that have taken at least eight attempts. The Austrian winger is just four more consecutive successful penalty kicks away from tying Benny Feilhaber for the top spot at 12-for-12.
New York will travel cross country to face LAFC on Sunday, August 11. The Red Bulls-LAFC match is slated for 10 p.m. EST with national coverage on FS1, FOX Sports Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
