LOS ANGELES - Following a 3-2 come-from-behind win on the road against Sporting Kansas City on March 23, the LA Galaxy return home to square off against Seattle Sounders FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, March 30 (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass).
Saturday's match between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders FC marks the 49th meeting across all competitions between the two teams, with the Galaxy trailing the all-time series 16-19-13. Against Seattle, the Galaxy hold a 10-14-13 record in league play, a 4-3-0 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs and a 2-2-0 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In the last meeting between the two teams, LA fell 2-1 on the road to Seattle at Lumen Field on Oct. 4, 2023. In 18 regular season matches played on the road against Seattle, the Galaxy hold a 4-8-6 record. LA will be looking for its first regular season win on the road against the Sounders dating back to a 1-0 victory on July 9, 2016. The last time the two teams squared off at Dignity Health Sports Park, the LA Galaxy earned a 3-1 win over Seattle in the Round of 32 of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 10, 2023.
Through five matches played during the 2024 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy hold an unbeaten record of 2-0-3 (9 points; 12 GF, 9 GA) and sit in second place in the Western Conference behind only Minnesota United FC (3-1-1; 10 points; 8 GF, 6 GA). The Galaxy rank second in in the league in goals scored (12) behind only Inter Miam CF (13). With a goal scored against Seattle Sounders FC this weekend, Dejan Joveljić would equal Jaime Moreno's MLS record for the most consecutive games with a goal scored to begin a season (6 in 1997).
