KCC: Kansas City got their third win of the Challenge Cup winning 2-1 against Houston at home.

Storylines

Win and In: In the NWSL Central Division, the Current is in 1st place with a record of 3-1-1 and Red Stars are in 2nd place with a record of 2-1-2. With this being the final game of the Challenge Cup, whoever wins this game will be in the semifinals of the Challenge Cup.

More Minutes: Tatumn Milazzo and Alyssa Naeher are the only two Red Stars who have played every minute in the 2022 Challenge Cup. If both play the full 90 minutes in Sunday's game, they will have played all 540 minutes of the Challenge Cup divisional round.

Current Challenge: The last matchup between Kansas City and Chicago ended in a 2-1 loss for the Red Stars despite the Red Stars outshooting the Current 13-9. Vanessa DiBernardo was the sole goal scorer for the Red Stars in the 22nd minute, which also marked her first Challenge Cup goal in her career.
