WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Attacking Back: Greenville put seven goals on the board during their undefeated home stand across the last three weeks, more goals than double the number of goals scored during their July/August swoon. Even with the tough loss of forward JJ Donnelly, Greenville's offense has come back to their early 2020 level. Aaron Walker continues to shine, netting his second brace of the season to bring his goal total to five. In more good news for GTSC's attack, Lachlan McLean will likely be available for the first time in over two months as he returns from a knee injury.
Putting the "O" in Wisconsin: Forward Madison has yet to score a goal in three home matches against Greenville. The last time the two met up in Wisconsin, they played to a scoreless draw at Madison's temporary 2020 home at Hart Park outside of Milwaukee. Greenville isn't counting on a fourth scoreless home effort from Madison, though.
"We can't let Madison have too much time on the ball," said head coach John Harkes. "(Aaron) Malloy is a great player, and keys their attack well from the midfield. We obviously know what Carlos (Gomes) brings to the club, and Jake Keegan's pace up top will be a good challenge for our defense."
NEWS AND NOTES
Team Updates: Don Smart is available after serving a one-match suspension following a red card during Greenville's win against Chattanooga on 9/11.
Injury Report: JJ Donnelly (F): OUT, Noah Pilato (M): OUT, Lachlan McLean (F): Probable
League One Standings: Greenville's sits in third place with 31 points, four spots ahead of Forward Madison.
