North Carolina FC News Release
CARY, NC (April 17, 2015) - The first-place Carolina RailHawks (1W-1D-0L, 4 pts.) will be back at WakeMed Soccer Park to take on Atlanta Silverbacks (0W-2D-0L, 2 pts.) on Saturday, April 18th at 7:30 pm ET. The match will be broadcasted live on ESPN3 and via radio on 99.9HD-3 The Ticket.
"We are looking forward to this match," said RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke. "We played a tough game in Edmonton last week. Securing a point keeps us at the top of the table, but the goal is to come away with three, and we'll fight to earn those points this Saturday."
In last week's match, the RailHawks opened scoring in the first half against Edmonton. Nacho Novo volleyed home a Leo Osaki cross to give the RailHawks the lead, but Lance Laing later equalized for the home side.
The Silverbacks are coming off of a second draw in their spring campaign after posting 1-1 scores against Indy and Ottawa in consecutive weeks.
The Carolina RailHawks will look to keep their 2015 home winning streak alive this Saturday at WakeMed Soccer Park. The last time the two sides met, Nacho Novo scored a crucial penalty in the match that ended in a 2-0 victory for the RailHawks at Atlanta Silverbacks Park.
