Match Preview: Bethlehem Steel FC Hosts Ottawa Fury FC at Talen Energy Stadium

Philadelphia Union II News Release

CHESTER, Pa. - Bethlehem Steel FC (3-4-3) looks to take all three points from a home match at Talen Energy Stadium against Ottawa Fury FC (4-2-2) this Sunday.

Last time out, Steel FC and Atlanta United 2 played to a 1-1 draw at Talen Energy Stadium. Philadelphia Union Academy goalkeeper Tomás Romero had a big night, making five saves and cleaning up the rebound on a penalty-kick attempt that came back out into play off the post. With Jamaican center back Jamoi Topey healthy and gaining confidence by the match, look for the Steel defense to start improving and having stronger games against some of the league's better attacks.

The Steel and the Fury are separated by one place in the Eastern Conference standings, with the Canadian side (14 pts.) holding a two point lead over Steel FC (12 pts.) to maintain ninth place. With Philadelphia Union well on their way back to a healthy roster, the Steel could see the addition of extra veteran leadership from the first team, which plays on Saturday at home against Seattle Sounders.

Bethlehem Steel FC hosts Ottawa Fury FC at Talen Energy Stadium on Sunday, May 19 at 6:00 p.m. ET. Tickets are available here, with the match set to be broadcast on ESPN+.
