Langley, BC - - Vancouver FC begins their two-match homestand at Willoughby Park with a visit from Valour FC on May 28th at 5 p.m. PDT/8 p.m. PDT. Vancouver is looking to continue their upward momentum after holding the reigning champions, Forge FC, to a 0-0 draw at Tim Hortons Field in Match #5. Sunday's game is VFC's Firefighters' Appreciation Match with 10% of all ticket sales being donated to the BCPFFA Burn Fund.
MATCH STORYLINES:
Record Setters Everywhere We Go: VFC's 0-0 draw against FOR in Match #6 was the first time in league history that a match was goalless at Tim Hortons Field in the regular season. VFC was also the first team in the 2023 season to keep FOR without a goal through the full 90 minutes.
Rocco is Back: VFC defender Rocco Romeo makes his return to VFC's lineup after missing two matches due to a red card suspension. He is also returning against his former team, VAL, where he made 42 appearances (including three CanChamp matches) and scored four goals from 2021 to 2022.
League Leader: VFC forward Shaan Hundal continues to be ranked tied-first in the CPL for goals with three. With two shots in his last game, Hundal has now also become the league leader in shots with 12.
