San Antonio Scorpions News Release
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Friday, August 14, 2015) - The Scorpions head into the Big Apple looking to get back in the win column after a thrilling come from behind performance in Atlanta, earning them a vital point. In the overall series with the Cosmos, the Alamo City Boys hold a slight advantage with a 4-0-3 lead in the series record. The Cosmos won the most recent game in New York this spring, but the Scorpions won the previous four meetings in the 2014 season though. Coming into Saturday's game, the Cosmos are riding a four game unbeaten streak. Despite the fact that they sit fifth in the fall season table, the Cosmos have only lost one match during the 2015 season thus far, and are unbeaten when playing at home.
Scorpions sharpshooter Rafael Castillo leads the matchup in goals scored by either side with three. Castillo has been an offensive presence this season for San Antonio with 4 goals and 3 assists so far in 2015.
The Scorpions return home to Toyota Field on August 22 to take on the expansion Jacksonville Armada FC.
