Vancouver FC News Release

Langley, BC - Vancouver will kick off their second season in the Canadian Premier League at home against Valour FC.

MATCH STORYLINES:

Picking up where we left off: VFC closed out their inaugural season on a high, earning four wins in their final six games including registering their longest win streak in franchise history with three games. Although their final match was a 2-1 loss, the Eagles were taking flight at the end of 2023 and will be looking to start the season right where they left off.

Homecoming: VFC has been busy in the off-season bringing B.C.-born players home to Vancouver to play in front of their friends and family. VFC now has a total of 13 B.C.-born players on their 2024 roster including the likes of Ben Fisk, Paris Gee, David Norman, and Zach Verhoven who will all be making their hometown debuts this season.

Battle of the VFC's: Vancouver added attacker Moses Dyer to their roster this off-season who previously played for Valour from 2020-2022. He still holds the Winnipeg-based team's record for most all-time goals (19) and will be taking on his former team for the first time in his career. On the other side, Valour's Shaan Hundal will be returning to Willoughby Park after joining VAL in the off-season. Hundal currently share's VFC's all-time leading goal scorer title with Gabriel Bitar who both have six.
