South Georgia Tormenta FC News Release
STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC is set to visit Omaha, Nebraska, for the first time in 2023 to take on the Union Omaha SC this Saturday, June 24, at 8 p.m. ET from Werner Park.
South Georgia visits a possession-oriented squad in Union Omaha, which is coming into the match following a 1-1 home draw on Wednesday against One Knoxville SC. The Omaha side will look to continue being a dynamic team on the attack while trying to avoid being vulnerable on the defensive end.
South Georgia will aim to get its first win against Union Omaha after playing in seven games, drawing three times and losing four. The Statesboro side will look to continue its unbeaten streak and earn its first win after three consecutive draws.
Midfielder Matheus Cassini is still recovering from a broken collarbone injury, making them unavailable for selection this weekend. Midfielder Kingsford Adjei will be available for selection ahead of Saturday's match.
Following Saturday's match, Tormenta FC plays its first midweek game of the season as it receives the visit of Forward Madison, which will visit Tormenta Stadium for the first time in 2023 on Wednesday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium.
