STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC takes the road for a second consecutive match and now travels to Fresno, California, ahead of its Week 22 fixture against Central Valley Fuego FC this Saturday, August 27, at Fresno State Soccer Stadium at 10:30 p.m. ET. For the final time this season, Tormenta FC takes on Fuego FC. Fuego FC took a win when they visited Erk Russell Park. Meanwhile, South Georgia took a win in its first visit to Fresno.

A battle between 7th and 8th, South Georgia looks to get back on track after a superb month of July. With three consecutive losses in its three-month encounters, South Georgia now faces a Central Valley team who is consistently poor at home. South Georgia got three points in Fresno on July 2, thanks to a 60th-minute goal by Gabriel Cabral.

Last Saturday, South Georgia fell to Chattanooga Red Wolves SC after obtaining an early lead thanks to a Kingsford Adjei goal, assisted by Adrian Billhardt. In a match full of firsts for South Georgia, Gabriel Cabral became the fourth captain in Tormenta FC history, following in the leadership footsteps of Pablo Jara, Joshua Phelps, and Lars Eckenrode. Additionally, TJ Bush received his second season start and responded positively with seven saves.

Yesterday, Tormenta FC announced the addition of midfielders Mutaya Mwape and Mukwelle Akale to its 2022 USL League One roster.

Mwape brings professional experience with him to Tormenta FC, having played for the Charlotte Independence in the USL Championship and the Richmond Kickers in USL League One with an overall three goals scored and five assists recorded.

Akale returns to the United States to play professionally for the first time in the country after seven years in Spain and Cyprus, playing with Villarreal Club de Fútbol's U19, C, and B teams and with Pafos FC of the Protathlima Cyta, the First Division of men's soccer in Cyprus.

Both players are available for selection against Central Valley Fuego FC.
