Morehead City, N.C.- On Monday, May 26 at 7:05 p.m., the Morehead City Marlins will host an exhibition contest between the 2014 Marlins team and the American Legion Post 46 at Puck O'Neal Field at Big Rock Stadium. All of the ticket sales from the game will be given back to the American Legion.

It will also allow the local players to gain experience against high-level competition, and give fans a chance to watch some pre-season baseball. The exhibition will also serve as fun season preparation for American Legion Post 46, whose official schedule begins on May 28 against Duplin.
"This will be a great opportunity for our fans to catch their first glimpse of the 2014 Marlins, and also watch the local Morehead City talent," said Marlins general manager Mitch Kluver. "We hope this is aÃÂ fantastic experience for the members of the Post 46 team to play against elite collegiate talent."
"Anytime you play against better competition it helps you out," said Post 46 manager Robby Lasater. "I think it will be fun for my guys, and it is a great way to kick off our season."
The Marlins' first regular season home game will be on May 28 at 7.05 p.m. against the Fayetteville Swampdogs. Season tickets and flex books are on sale now at www.mhcmarlins.com and at the Marlins Team Store, located at 508-D Evans Street in Morehead City.
