Miami, Fla. - Miami Football Club right-back Mark Segbers earned USL Championship Team of the Week Week 23 honors.
Team of the Week - Week 23
Segbers opened up the scoring in Miami FC's 2-0 win against Atlanta United 2 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Saturday night. The 26-year-old darted up the pitch from his right-back position and found himself at the top of the 18-yard-box. That is when attacking midfielder Florian Valot dished out a pass onto Segber's path. The St. Louis native took a touch and tucked the ball into the back for the net with his second.
Segbers backed up his one-goal performance with an 87% pass completion (57 of 65) and winning 6 of 9 duels while making six recoveries.
Up Next for Miami FC
Miami FC will hit the road again after playing Atlanta United 2. Pulis' side will take on Hartford Athletic on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. ET.
The Orange and Blue return to Miami on Aug. 27. They will face current Eastern Conference leaders Louisville City at FIU Stadium.
