The Las Vegas Golden Knights have signed their 5th round draftee Musketeer Forward Marcus Kallionkieli, to a 3 year NHL entry level contract.
The 6 foot 1, 192 pound winger from Helsinki, Finland, concluded last year as the 18th leading scorer in the USHL (3rd highest among rookies), with 29 goals and 53 points in 58 games. Marcus played on an explosive line for the Musketeers that consisted of Philadelphia Flyers 2nd round pick Bobby Brink, and 2018 Calgary Flames 4th round pick Martin Pospisil.
Head Coach Luke Strand states "The Las Vegas Golden Knights are signing an offensively explosive player and even a better person in Marcus Kallionkieli. He has a huge upside to his game both offensively and defensively.
We look forward to his continued success. We would like to thank Marcus for all of his contributions both on and off the ice for the Sioux City Musketeers.
